PURPOSE:To prevent a thin line from being missing in reducing a coded line, by using a scanning line magnification OR circuit as to the subscanning direction in reducing a scanning line so as to apply OR between a thinning scanning line and an adjacent line. CONSTITUTION:A coded data is decoded by a change point address decoder 31 and stored in a change point address memory 32. A scanning line magnification OR circuit 33 outputs either smaller change point address 2 in the first change point addresses 2, 3 of the processing line and the thinning line. Then either larger change point address 7 in the 2nd change point addresses 5, 7 of both the lines is outputted. The change point address to be ORed is outputted in this way. The change point address is given to a change point address calculation circuit 34 and a change point address correction circuit 35, where processing to preserve the black/white isolated points so as not to be missing is implemented and the sresult is coded by a change point address coder 36 and the result is outputted as the coded data. |
