In an apparatus for controlling a pneumatic conveying installation in underground working for fine spraying and backfilling material from a feedline into a pair of distributor pipes, at least one of which is provided for discharging a manipulatable spraying quantity, the invention uses a multi-way valve having possibilities of switching to passage from the feedline into a distributor pipe or branching-off from the feedline into the discharging distributor pipe, the multi-way valve having a housing ring which has projections arranged on the outside and penetrated by bores for feedline, exit and branch, and having a plug disc, in the plane of which a straight passage bore and a branch bore running at an acute angle with respect to the latter are provided and the bores of the ring projections and of the disc plug having the full clear cross-section of the feedline.
