<p>By means of this process, holograms of all types can be embedded and polymerised in an optical plastic having a refractive index close to that of the holographic recording layer. Interfering air surfaces, which would otherwise impair ray transmission, are thereby eliminated. When polymerisation has taken place, a one-part, frameless presentation medium which is fracture-resistant and shatterproof is formed; the hologram is integrated in this medium and is protected against moisture, dust, UV radiation and other harmful environmental effects. It can be processed further in a variety of ways and is preferably employed in architecture and advertising.</p> |
