PURPOSE:To enable density control according to a unified criterium by judging whether the density of an ink ribbon is acceptable or not based on printing density detected by a detection means. CONSTITUTION:A main control part 14 commands a test pattern printing control part 12 to perform test pattern printing, and the test pattern printing control part 12 reads a test pattern data from a test pattern memory 9a and sends said data to a passbook printing control part 11 with a printing command. The passbook printing control part 11 moves a printing head 50 to a journal paper 7a position to print a test pattern T. When the test pattern T is printed, the journal paper 7a is transferred to below a reading sensor 6b, and the journal paper 7a to allow reading of the test pattern print. The image data which is read in this way is transmitted to a judgement part 13. The judgement part 13 slices the gradetion of image data based on an judgement value by a setting part 13a to judge whether the image data is acceptable or not by using a digital code '1' and '0'. If the judgement result is +'1', a passbook is immediately discharged. |
