PURPOSE: To dispense with the environmentally contaminating solvent by holding the aqueous coating dispersion including fine solid matters on a base sheet, and evaporating the aqueous part of the dispersion at a temperature lower than the melting point of the consolidated wax particles or similar material. CONSTITUTION: A plastic sheet is particularly made of a thermoplastic plastic having a comparatively high glass transition point. The aqueous coating dispersion includes the necessary solid particles, for example, the thermoplastic plastic, the wax or wax similar material, the fat-soluble dyestuff and a pigment effectively with 0.5-100 μ of particle size. The main component of a melted ink layer to be formed is a thermoplastic resin. It is important to use the special dyestuff soluble in the wax or wax similar material. This requirement is satisfied by the so-called fat-soluble dyestuff or 'lipochrome'. This dispersion is evaporated or condensed by sending, for example, hot air. |
