PURPOSE:To make the varnish processing of a coil smooth and adhesion of varnish thereto uniform by forming openings at the ends of the inner cylinder and outer cylinder of insulation covers enveloping the ends of the coil respectively. CONSTITUTION:Openings 41, 42 are formed at the edge between the inner cylinder and outer cylinder of insulation covers 29, 30 enveloping the ends of a coil. In coating varnish on the coil, the coil is immersed in a varnish tank with one insulation cover 29 faced upward. With this, varnish penetrates into insulation covers 29, 30 through the hole 42 and gaps 37, 38. At this time, air inside the insulation cover 29 is discharged outside through the hole 41 and the whole of a coil 28 is immersed in varnish without generating an air pool. On the one hand, as a stator core 27 is pulled up from the varnish tank, all surplus varnish drips down into the varnish tank through the hole 42 of the insulation cover 30 and throughout all stages, varnish adheres to the coil 28 uniformly. |
