PURPOSE:To improve a damping effect, by a method wherein a magnetic actuator is situated to a part where a damping force is exerted on a structure by means of a magnetic attraction force, and a force approximately proportioning a command signal is exerted on the structure to exert a damping force responding to a vibration speed. CONSTITUTION:When a structure 1 is vibrated, displacement of an end part is detected by a displacement sensor 2, and a signal proportioning to displacement is generated from a displacement converter 3. The magnetic attraction force of an electromagnetic actuator formed with electromagnets 8 and 9 are exerted on the structure 1 through a differentiator or a similar differentiator 4, a current distributor 5, and current amplifiers 6 and 7 to absorb vibration. Since, as noted above, a force approximately proportioning the command of the electromagnetic actuator is exerted on the structure 1, the high frequency component of a working force is decreased and unnecessary excitation is not applied. Besides, linearity of control loop is improved, and a force responding to the speed of vibration of the structure 1 can be exerted. |
