PURPOSE:To improve pleasantness in a wishbone type suspension device by installing a ball joint supporting member on the end part of an A-shaped suspension slidably in a body longitudinal direction and making the ball joint displaceable in the body longitudinal direction while undisplaceable in the body width direction. CONSTITUTION:A pair of shaft supporting parts 41, 42 which extend in a vihicle width direction are formed on the end part of an A-shaped upper arm 1 and a large diameter through bore is provided on the supporting part 41 while providing a small diameter through bore on the supporting part 42 with a common axis 43. And a sleeve 46 is slidably inserted into the supporting part 41. On the other hand, a sleeve 49 is inserted into the supporting part 42 from the rear side of body. And, a ball joint supporting member 51 is supported by both sleeves 46, 49. By this structure, the ball joint supporting member 51 is energized toward the rear of body by means of a coil spring which is contractedly installed in the sleeve 46, permitting the member 51 to be displaced in the longitudinal direction while restraining displacement in the width direction. Hence, this structure can give a good ride. |
