<p>An apparatus for recording an information signal that includes a signal processor for processing an information signal to be magnetically recorded, n magnetic heads (2A, 2B; 3A, 3B) (n is an integer of 2 or more) provided on a rotating drum (4) with a step of about 1/n the width of a magnetic tape (1) and a distributing circuit (6-13) for selectively supplying the processed information signal to one or more than two of the n magnetic heads, wherein the processed information signal is recorded on one or more than two track areas of the magnetic tape (1) by the magnetic head. Thus, much data can be recorded at a high transmission rate to improve the quality of picture, and also, a high access speed can be achieved.</p> |
