<p>A vehicle barricade comprises a frame (F) having an open top (18) and bottom (20), side (16), front (14) and rear (12) portions. A barrier (10) plate is pivotally associated with the frame (F) for being pivoted between a first and a second position. A cylinder and piston assembly (88) pivots the barrier plate (10) between the positions. A first stop (86) extends from and is carried by the barrier plate (10). A second stop (80) is connected to the frame (F) and is engageable with the first stop (86) for preventing said barrier plate (10) from pivoting beyond said second position. A plurality of tubes (80) extend forwardly from the front portion (14) and prevent the frame (F) from moving in the event the barrier plate (10) is impacted by a vehicle.</p> |
