PURPOSE:To reduce energy for heating chlorine base org. solvents and the consumption of the solvents with simple constitution, by changing the capacity of heaters for heating a vapor degreasing and cleaning tank using said solvents between the idling stage and the stage under substantial working. CONSTITUTION:A chlorine base org. solvent 11 such as 1.1.1-trichloroethane is kept heated at all times with a heater 6 during idling in the stage of heating the solvent 11 with electric heaters 5, 6, and subjecting materials 10 to be cleaned such as metallic parts conveyed into the solvent with an elevator 7 for upward and downward movement within th vapor layer 9 formed by said heating. In the stage of carrying the objects 10 into the cleaning tank with conveying rolls 3, the objects contact with a limit switch 1 which turns the power source of the heater 5 on, thereby increasing the rate of generating the vapor of the solvent 11. In the stage of removing the objects 10 and discharging the same with conveying rolls 4, the objects contact with a limit switch 2 which turns the power source of the heater 5 off. The above-mentioned purpose is achieved even if the heaters 5 are turned on and off at specified time intervals with a programed controller. |
