The polymer compositions comprise
(I) 0.1 - 99.9% by weight of a polymer P1 built up from monomers of the formula I

in which R1 is hydrogen or methyl, and
(II) 99.9 - 0.1% by weight of a copolymer P2 built up from 30 - 90 parts by weight of a methacrylate of the formula II

in which R2 is methyl or ethyl, and 70 - 10 parts by weight of a methacrylate of the formula III

in which R3 is a hydrocarbon radical having 3 to 24 carbon atoms, and 0 - 10 parts by weight of a further monomer M which is copolymerisable with the monomers of the formulae II and III, but is different therefrom.
