A Gattling-gun-like amusement game (10) provides for manual control of the rate of firing and dispensing of dislodged targets (28) as prizes to the player. The gun fires balls (40) at round targets (28) supported on rotating carousels (32). Dislodged targets (28) roll to the front of an enclosure for dispensing to the player. The balls (40) are separated and fed by an Archimedes' spiral (73) to a feed tube (88) connected to the gun. A sensor (90) is used with controls to limit the number of balls (40) provided to a player. The balls (40) are fed through two successive nip regions (98,114) formed by pinch rollers (96,112). The first is manually controlled by a crank (108) to vary the rate of firing. Balls (40) delivered from the first nip region (98) are fired at high speed by a fast rotating, fixed speed second pinch roller (112).
|
