The over-running clutch has a cylindrical holder section mounted in a clutch outer. The holder covers the entire outer periphery of an inner gear which meshes with a sun gear formed on the rotary shaft of an armature of a motor. Planetary gears are supported by a fixed shaft and mounted for rotation. The cylindrical holder section and inner gear are engaged by a helical spline.
