PURPOSE:To obtain a hair dye composition having excellent fastness to shampoo and light and applicable without damaging the hair, by compounding deoxyribonucleic acid or its salts. CONSTITUTION:A two-pack type hair dye composition composed of the 1st solution containing an oxidation dye (e.g. phenylenediamines or aminophenols) as a main component and the 2nd solution containing an oxidizing agent (e.g. hydrogen peroxide or urea peroxide) as a main component is compounded with deoxyribonucleic acid or its salt (usually Na salt or K salt). The amount of the deoxyribonucleic acid is 0.01-5wt.%, preferably 0.05-3wt.% based on the whole hair dye composition. The effect can be further improved by compounding 0.1-10pts. of an animal peptide (e.g. hydrolyzed collagen or hydrolyzed keratin) based on 1pt. of the deoxyribonucleic acids. |
