PURPOSE:To obtain a trichogenous and hair-tonic agent having remarkably improved trichogenous and hair-tonic effect and useful in the fields of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, by combining minoxidil with n-decylmethyl sulfoxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective trichogenous and hair-tonic agent contains (A) minoxidil [2,4-diamino-6-piperidinopyrimidine-3-oxide (an oral remedy for hypertension taking advantage of its remarkable vasodilating effect and causing hypertrichosis as a side effect)] and (B) n-decylmethyl sulfoxide. The amounts of the components A and B are preferably 0.01-7wt.% and 0.5-7.0wt.%, respectively. |
