PURPOSE: To prevent generation of beads and obtain output copy with good chroma by depositing on pixel centers that selected liquid ink spot with checkerboard pattern. CONSTITUTION: To deposit diagonally adjacent spots only with a single pass, checkerboard pattern as shown in the figure is used. A set of diagonal spots are deposited in the first pass, and another set of diagonal spots that supplement the first are deposited in the next pass. Because the second pass is deposited more than 0.2 sec elapsed after the first set of spots, ink does not freely flow. Because diagonally adjacent spots are not in contact with each other, ink spots that can flow in the single pass do not overlap. Accordingly, liquid ink in each spot does not give influence on surface tension of adjacent spot in spite of being in the state that can still flow. |
