PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fabric resistant to washing treatments by preparing a pulp liquid from water, NIRE (juice of Hibiscus manihot) and a paper material produced from the white bark of Broussonetica kazinoki, preparing Japanese paper from the pulp liquid by a flowing paper-making method, preparing paper yarns from the Japanese paper in specific conditions, and subsequently using the obtained soft and strong paper yarns as a part or all of warps and wefts. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a woven fabric using paper yarns comprises preparing pulp liquid from water, NIRE and a paper material prepared from the white bark of Broussonetica kazinoki, flowing paper fibers in a direction to prepare Japanese paper 1, cutting the Japanese paper in a narrow width along the fiber direction of the Japanese paper, while leaving selvage portionsβ, rubbing the prepared cut Japanese paper pieces on a somewhat wet, slightly slipping and hard base to round the narrowly cut portions, alternately cutting the selvage portions 6, 6', 6"... to prepare the long bodies 7, rounding 8 the selvage portions of the long bodies 7, twisting the prepared fibers 9 with a spinning wheel, and subsequently weaving the twisted fibers as a part or all of warps and wefts of the woven fabric by the use of a weaver.
