A process and a device for use in unloading or loading a commercial vehicle, the chassis 10,11 of which is provided with raisable and lowerable bogie rear axles 12,20. Through application of a bogie lift 23,24, preferably when the vehicle is unladen, the bogie rear axles enable the rear bogie wheels 21 to be swivelled up from the support surface 25. During the process, the rear bogie wheels 21 are brought to bear against the support surface 25 and the blocking members 23,24,26,27 are placed against securing members 18 for the rear bogie wheels, so that these are prevented from moving in the vertical direction whilst load is being displaced from or to the chassis 10,11 or a load carrier borne thereon. The device comprises a control centre which is common to the bogie lift 23,24 and the members 26,27 for locking of the lever arms 18 and which in one manoeuvring position enables the bogie lift 23,24 to be placed against the lever arms 18 and in another manoeuvring position enables firstly the locking members 26,27 and thereafter the bogie lift 23,24 to be placed against the said lever arms. <IMAGE> |
