A fuel gasifying burner includes a combustion device having a hollow gas generating member (1) and a combustion member (3). Actuation of the combustion device first allows the gas generating member and the combustion member to be preheated to a fuel gasifiable temperature by flames of combustion of sprayed liquid fuel, and then permits gas generating member to be heated by flames formed by flame apertures of the combustion member so as to continuously generate the gasified fuel. Air supply may be more sufficient and fuel supply may be less sufficient on the combustion of sprayed liquid fuel than on the combustion of gasified fuel.
