<p>PURPOSE:To simplify a mechanism, and to miniaturize a recorder by switching a reproducing mode and a recording mode by the rotation of a stroke regulating rotor. CONSTITUTION:A sub chassis 11, on which a recording and reproducing head 1 is attached, and which moves on the surface of a main chassis 10 in a direction to cross the traveling path of a tape T according to the set of the mode, and an operating plate 13, which is installed on the sub chassis 11 so as to be freely movable along the tape traveling path and moves in either direction lying along the tape traveling path according to the set of the mode, are provided. Furthermore, the stroke regulating rotor 18, which regulates the moving stroke of the operating plate 13 into two stages, that is, a state that the rotation is regulated by a plunger 15, and a state that not regulated, is provided, and the operating plate 13 displaces pinch rollers 6, 7 or erase heads 2, 3 to the tape traveling path side by one of a right and a left engaging parts according to the moving stroke of each state. Thus, the mechanism can be simplified, and the whole recorder can be easily miniaturized.</p> |
