摘要 PURPOSE:To realize the thin type of magnetic disk device by fitting a driving member to a carriage for carrying reading and writing head through a fine driving means. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor 12 is revolved and driven and a flexible magnetic disk 23 is revolved and a step motor 41 is revolved and driven. Then, a magnetic head 26 is moved in a tracking direction, the step motor is stopped at a purposed track position and a magnetic recording or reproducing is executed. At a reproducing time, a tracking error is detected by a signal read by the magnetic head 26, and according to this detection, the magnetic head 26 is finely moved in the tracking direction and feed-back control is executed so that the tracking error can be go to zero. On a carriage 24, a piezo-driving block 38 is fitted to a different position from the magnetic head 26 and an internal between the carriage 24 and the flexible magnetic disk 23 is made narrow. Thus, the thinned magnetic disk can be realized.
