Each pixel of the device for detecting radiation ray such as X-ray or -ray comprises an array of luminescent device (1), an array of photo electric couplers (4) for converting the light to electric signal, and a bundle of optical fibres (3) for carrying the light from the (1) to (4). The arrays of the luminescent devices and the photo electric couplers are assembled to partially overlap one another so that the input radiation ray is detected with high sensitivity.
