PURPOSE:To prevent drop of photoattenuation rate in a low electric field and ground soiling of a copying paper in an electrophotographic sensitive body by forming an electric charge generating layer composed of a charge generating material dispersed in a resin having a dielectric constant xsi in the following range: 4<=xsi<=10. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive substrate 3 the charge generating layer 1 and a charge transfer layer 2, or in other cases, reversing the lamination order of the layers 2 and 3, or interposing an undercoat layer 5 between the substrate 3 and the charge generating layer 1, and the layer 1 or the layer 4 is formed by dispersing the charge generating material into the resin having a dielectric constant xsi in the following range: 4<=xsi<=10, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be enhanced in sensitivity, reduced in drop of acceptance potential due to exposure fatigue, and prevented from rise of residual potential and ground soiling on a copying paper at the time of repeated cycles of charging and exposure. |
