<p>PURPOSE:To scrape off forcedly a deposit before it becomes large and discharge it to the outside to avoid corrosion of a smoke duct, by installing movably a chain along the bottom of a smoke duct between a spray nozzle and a dust collector in the smoke duct. CONSTITUTION:A pair of chains 16 installed between spray nozzles 12 and a dust collector 5 in a smoke duct 11 is caused to travel along the bottom of the smoke duct 11 in a direction of an arrow by rotating a gear 15, causing chains attached to said pair of chains 16 to move along the bottom of the duct 11. By means of the moving chains, fallen solids, which are still wet and tending to deposit, are scraped off. Those solids which have attached to the gear 15 and chains 16 are removed by the steam blown of from nozzles 18, 19. The solids thus scraped and removed are collected in a hopper 20 and transferred therefrom through a rotary valve 21 and an ash taking-out passage 22 to be conveyed to a dust collector hopper 24 by the air blown from a nozzle 23, from which said solids are discharged to the outside together with the dusts captured by the dust collector 5.</p> |
