PURPOSE:To lessen the fogging of the titled material, and to improve the stability and the sensitivity of photographic characteristics, even in case of developing for a short period, by using a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a tabular silver halide particle having a prescribed value of mean aspect ratio and a hydrazide compd. for the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material comprises at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer mounted on at least one side of a supporting body, and said emulsion layer contains the tabular silver halide particle having >=5 the mean aspect ratio. And, the silver halide emulsion layer and an another layer contain the hydrazide compd. capable of releasing a photographically useful reagent with the attack of a nucleophilic agent after being oxidized by the oxidant of a developing main agent. And, the diameter of the silver halide particle is defined by the diameter of a circle having an area equal to the projecting area of a particle, and the thickness of said particle is defined by a min. distance among the distances between two parallel surfaces constituting the tabular silver halide particle. |
