PURPOSE: To compactly store data by condensing the bit map of information into 1st binary state and coding the condensed bit map. CONSTITUTION: As the main process of algorithm, the bit map of a video image is condensed to zero and the condensed image is coded to series of zero and data bytes. The video image is condensed to zero by autocorrelating (shifting and exclusively ORing) horizontal and vertical lines. The number of zero provided from respective correlations is counted until it is determined which combination generates the most condensed zero. Afterwards, the bit map of a line condensed to zero is coded to series of zero and data bytes. Thus, the number of bits to be physically stored for storing the video image can be decreased. |
