This invention is a power transmission with a two-phase torque converter for construction machine, which demands high torque ratio. The first stator of the two-phase converter is coupled to an output shaft, while the second one is fixed. This power transmission includes a brake for fixing the first stator and a clutch designed to couple the first stator to the output shaft when the brake is released. There is a one way clutch at the end of a shaft coupling the first stator to the output shaft. The clutch and the brake is in the form of a disk, and employ planetary gears.
