A process for extruding films of vinylidene fluoride polymers, having a predominantly piezoelectric structure, comprises stretching an extruded film of a molten polymer at least 200% in the extrusion direction, and then cooling the stretched film to below 50≦̸C, while it has travelled at most 300mm after leaving the die. The films have an excellent tear strength. |
