PURPOSE: To attain stereo effects with a small memory capacity by providing a digital filter in a wave data path at least reaching one sound system and controlling the filter factor of this digital filter so that the frequency characteristics of a produced musical sound may be different from each other. CONSTITUTION: A storage means 10 stores digital waveform information concerning a certain musical sound. A first sound discharging means 24L produces a first musical sound, based on the waveform information EWD read out from the storage means 10. Meantime, a digital filter 26 takes as an input the waveform information EWD read out from the storage means 10, supplying its waveform information as an output to a second sound discharging means 24R, which, on the basis of that waveform information, produces a second musical sound essentially simultaneously with the first musical sound. Then, a control means 28 controls the filter factor of the digital filter 26 so that the frequency characteristics of the first and the second musical sounds may be different. Thus, stereo effects are obtained with a small memory capacity. |
