PURPOSE:To reduce the generating rate of defects such as burrs, etc., and reduce the cycle time of a machine by providing long- and short-stroke lifting up/down operating parts for setting the speed of an upper shaft part from its lift-up standby point to a contact point at which an optical part is brought into contact with a grinding wheel, in two stages. CONSTITUTION:A long shaft part 21 is lowered at a high speed to a position in which the fixed stopper 13 thereof is brought into contact with a variable stopper 35 via a long-stroke lifting up/down operating part 25. And, an optical part 14 which is held by a holder 6 is brought into contact with a grinding wheel 5 at a gentle speed via a short-stroke lifting up/down operation part 24. Then, the optical part 14 is machined being pressed against the rotating grinding wheel 5 at a defined pressurizing force by means of a pressurizing cylinder 23. After this machining, the upper shaft part 21 is separated from the grinding wheel 5 at a gentle speed via the short-stroke lifting up-down operating part 24 and, then, lifted up for a long stroke via the long-stroke lifting up/down operating part 25, finishing a machining process. |
