PURPOSE:To bring a recording speed near to the theoretically max. speed limit, by successively applying a sampling signal to a plurality of dot recording systems to sample the instantaneous value of an analogue recording signal and converting the same to an one shot pulse signal to successively perform recording from the dot recording system after the finish of sampling. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of the recording elements r1... of a printer 1 is connected to a power supply 2 and the other terminals thereof are connected to drivers capable of utilizing transistors Tr1...Trn. Sampling function parts 3a-3n sample the instantaneous values E1... of the analogue recording signal As inputted from a recording signal input terminal 4. This sampling is performed under the control of the signals S1... formed in a sampling signal output part 5 in synchronous relation to the cycle of the clock signal Cs inputted from a clock input terminal 6.
