<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure by providing a sensor for detecting a paper passing through an indexer, timer means startable respectively upon rising and falling of the sensor and a counter means. CONSTITUTION:Jamming of first copy sheet is detected through a first timer 12 startable upon rising of a body sensor A and a second timer 13 startable upon falling of the sensor A. Jamming of second and following copy sheets are detected through a third timer 15 startable upon rising of an indexer B and a fourth timer 16 startable upon falling of the sensor B. Since the first and second timers 12, 13 may be identical while the third and fourth timers 15, 16 may also be identical, only two types of timers are required. Since two types of four timers are required, the structure is simplified and the cost is reduced.</p> |
