The invention consists in the fitting-out 1, of hearths of fireplaces which allow cool air, penetrating via the recess (niche) beneath the hearth or via the base against the backing wall of the fireplace, to circulate, to be heated by the metal outlet 2 and the metal duct 3 inside the hood, and to emerge via the grilles arranged above the hood.
