PURPOSE:To considerably increase current density in a superconductive material consisting of A (Sc, Y, etc.), B (Ba, etc.), C (Cu, Cu and Ti, etc.) and O in a prescribed ratio by regulating the degree of orientation of C-axes to a specified percentage or above. CONSTITUTION:This oxide superconductive material acting at high temp. has a compsn. represented by a formula A1B2C3Odelta and >=50% degree of orientation of C-axes. In the formula, A is one or more among Sc, Y, La, Ce, etc., B is one or more among Ba, Sr and Ca, and C is Cu or a mixture of Cu with one or more among Ti, V, etc.). The superconductive material may be produced as follows: a mixture having a compsn. in a triangular component diagram having (A)2O3+(B)O, (C)O and B2O3 as vertexes is melted, made amorphous by rapid cooling and heat treated to deposit columnar or platy fine particles having an oxygen-deficient triple perovskite structure. The particles are extracted by acid treatment and mixed with a binder and a solvent. Shear is applied to the resulting slurry to orient the C-axes of the particles. |
