The invention relates to a cooler of foodstuffs, particularly beverages, which can be fixed to the walls of a motor vehicle, for example. The invention is noteworthy in that the device is in the general form of a hollow shell (obus) 1 pierced with numerous holes 1c in its outer surface 1d allowing the evaporation of water which has previously been absorbed by a spongy covering 2 located on the internal surface of the said shell (obus) which is preferably integral with a flexible magnetic sole 6 allowing rapid fixing onto any of the surfaces of the vehicle. The invention finds a main application for cooling liquids transported in or on vehicles. <IMAGE>
