PURPOSE:To restrain the reflection of infrared rays made incident from gaps between elements and to prevent the lowerig of resolving power, by blackening the bottom face of a hollow supporting body provided with plural pyroelectric elements which are separated from each other. CONSTITUTION:Plural pyroelectric elements 1 consisting of a pyroelectric material 21, an infrared absorption electrode 12 and an infrared reflection electrode 28 are arranged on a hollow supporting body 12 separating from each other and are attached to a ceramic package etc. An attaching face 24 is covered by the material having high emissivity e.g. a blackening agent 27 such as aqua.duck velvet.coating to form the surface whose emissivity is one or approximately one. Crosstalk is not generated because infrared rays made incident from gaps between each element 11 are absorbed by the agent 27 and are not leaked to the other elements. Further, when the body 12 is a bottomed supporting body, the bottom face of the body 12 may be blackened.
