PURPOSE:To obtain the low negative image sensitivity and the low min. image density of a photosensitive material, by incorporating a specified nucleus forming accelerating agent in the photosensitive material, and developing the obtd. photosensitive material with a developer which has <=11.5 pH and contains a tetraza indene derivative. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material contains the nucleus forming accelerating agent shown by formulas I and/or II, and the obtd. material is developed with the developer which has <=11.5 pH and contains the tetraza indene derivative (except said derivative contg. SH group). In the formula, Y is hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atom, etc., R is thioether group, etc., (n) is 0 or 1, (m) is 0, 1 or 2. And, M is hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom or an ammonium group, etc., Q' is an atomic group necessary for forming a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring capable of forming iminosilver. Thus, the stably low negative image sensitivity and the low min. coloring density of the photosensitive material are obtd. |
