Automatic machine (10) for processing mechanical parts, composed essentially of a frame (11) on which are mounted a delivery device (12) designed, for example, to move the nuts to be machined and threaded towards a central machining unit (13) and two lateral threading units positioned on each side of said unit (13). The nuts supplied by a slide (16) are manipulated by a handling arm (17) and brought into position in the central machining unit (13). A clamping chuck (56) holds them in place during this operation. A transversely moving slide bar (57) then distributes them alternately to the right-hand lateral threading unit and to the left-hand lateral threading unit. This machine is particularly advantageous since it enables a very precise threading to be achieved, perpendicular to the plane surface of the nuts.
