Assembly comprises a coupling with a stem and ferrule forming walls, a bottom part and an opening of an annular cavity, and a precured polymeric hose with its end in the cavity and pinched between parts of the walls. The pinched hose part has a rate of thermal contraction greater than that of the walls at temps. from 135 C to -40 C. Pliable adhesive in the cavity bottom adheres the hose to the bottom and forms a leakproof seal between hose and coupling. The adhesive is pref. a mineral filled epoxy resin and the hose is substantially unpinched adjacent the cavity bottom where it is adhered to the coupling. The method of forming the assembly is claimed. |
