<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to confirm a position of jam by determining the stopping timing for transfer paper conveyance according to ON or OFF condition of transfer paper sending means arranged on paper feed part and paper conveying part located respectively upstream and downstream from a photosensitive body drum, and the size of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:Sensing means S1, S2 are respectively arranged just before the paper feed part roller 5 and just after the conveying part roller 6, located respectively upstream and downstream from a photosensitive body drum 1 and these informations enter a CPU91 along with the information from size sensing means SS for judging the magnitude of a transfer paper size. The CPU91, after detecting any jam, issues a transfer paper supply stopping signal at once after detecting jam in case of small sized transfer paper and after a prescribed time in case of large sized transfer paper, while said CPU91 judges existence of some jammed paper in the roller 5 part when the sensing means S1 is ON and the detecting means S2 is OFF, and further judges existence of some jammed paper in the roller 6 part when both the sensing means S1, S2 are OFF, permitting the result to be indicated on a display device 92.</p> |
