The subject of the invention is a vehicle window in which the windowpane 1 is fitted along its upper or lower horizontal edge with a shaped bar in the form of a flange 4 directed perpendicularly to the surface of the pane. The flange 4 has a bearing surface 5 which cooperates with a bearing element 7 fixed to the support panel 2 directed substantially perpendicularly to the plane of the pane.
