PURPOSE:To prevent fuel from sticking to the inner surface of a fuel passage between a fuel metering section to a fuel jetting section communicated to an intake-air passage so as to enhance the operatability of an engine by providing a heating means for heating fuel up to a temperature higher than a Leyden frost point belonging to the fuel itself. CONSTITUTION:Fuel distributed by a distributing tip provided at the forward end of a fuel injection valve 5 arranged commonly for engine cylinders is transferred to the intake ports 7 of the engine cylinders through fuel passages 6 and is jetted into the engine cylinders. In such a single point type fuel injection device, a heater section 12 is laid along the outer periphery of each of the fuel passages 6. The heater section 12 has such an arrangement that a ceramic heater or a metal heat generating body is insulated and so forth. Further, a heating insulating means 13 such as an air layer is laid outside of the heating section 12, and a protecting sleeve for increasing the strength of the heating section 12 is laid outside of the hear insulating means 13. Further, a metal coating layer 15 for reducing the surface roughness of the heat transmitting of the heating section 12 is laid on the inner wall of the center passage 11 of the latter. |
