PURPOSE:To improve fresh preservability and enhance recorded image density, by providing on a base a thermal recording layer comprising a compound of a specified general formula together with microcapsules containing a diazo compound, a coupling component or the like. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording layer comprising microcapsules containing a diazo compound, a coupling component, a basic compound and a compound of formula I (X<+> is a hydrogen ion, tertiary ammonium ion, quaternary ammonium ion or metal ion, and each of Y and Z is an up to 18C alkyl, aralkyl, alkoxyl, arlkyloxyl or aryloxyl) is provided on a base to produce a diazo thermal recording material. The compound of formula I is preferably used in an amount of about 0.01-50pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the coupling component. |
