A system for the underground mining of minerals is proposed in which boreholes are drilled in a winning face by means of a robot-like device, blasting charges are put into the boreholes, and the blasting charges are then ignited. During the blasting, the gallery is effectively dammed off against rock flying out by the robot-like device. After the blasting, the won material is conveyed to the nearest main roadway. The system is especially suitable for gold mines.
