A receptacle for the attachment of a measuring beaker with an upper edge beaded approximately at a right angle is to provide a solution which allows storage of a measuring beaker for a washing agent in the vicinity of a washing machine wherever possible. This is achieved in that the receptacle (4) has two lateral guides (7), which are arranged parallel to one another with the spacing of the maximum external diameter of the measuring beaker, and a rear wall (9), a gap being provided in the region between the guides (7) with the spacing of the thickness of the beaded edge (6) of the measuring beaker (5) between the rear wall (9) and the guides (7). <IMAGE>
