In a tool for producing axially symmetric flat sealing faces on screwed bores for screwed plugs, a cutting tool (4) is provided which is rotatable about the centre axis of the screwed bore and is guided in a rotatable and axially displaceable manner on a threaded shank (5) which can be screwed into the screwed bore and can be secured therein. A tool is thus proposed which can be manually actuated and can be used in a mobile manner and which permits exact flat sealing faces even if the screwed bore in the workpiece has no defined reference plane or axis. <IMAGE>
