Silencer comprising a closed container comprising a side wall (3) having an elliptical shape, a top, a bottom and an input (1) and an output (2). Exhaust gases from a combustion engine are brought into the interior of the container at a first focusing point (4), and being collected in a second focusing point (5) after reflection from the side wall (3). In the second focusing point (5) a sound absorbing material (6) absorbs the sound waves and the gases thereafter exits the silencers through the output (2). |
