This diamond sinter is prepared by infiltrating metal into diamond aggregates and solidifying them. The smaller diameter and similar shape barrier metal disc controls metal infiltration between the diamond aggregates and infilterating metal during pressurized heat treatment under a thermodynamically stabilized condition. The barrier metal is a high melting point alloy containing tantalum, molybdenum.
