When surface-coating first parts which are fixedly connected by nuts of this type, the coating material may also penetrate into the thread turns of the nut, as a result of which screwing a threaded bolt into the nut is rendered more difficult or even impossible. According to the invention, the threaded bore is sealed with respect to the surroundings by at least one insert, which can be introduced into said bore, with the result that coating material can no longer penetrate into the threaded bore. The invention can be used for all weld nuts or insert nuts, in the case of which the parts which are fixedly connected to the nuts are subjected to surface-coating, such as is the case, for example, in motor-vehicle construction.
